The Importance of Listening and Obeying:Colossians 3:20

Colossians 3:20

Johnny the little Panda loved playing with his toys, especially his toy car. He would zoom it around the room and make vroom vroom sounds. One day, as he was playing, his mom called him, "Johnny, it's time for dinner!"

But Johnny didn't want to stop playing. He loved his toy car so much that he didn't want to leave it behind. So, he ignored his mom and kept playing. His mom called again, "Johnny, please come to the table now!"

But Johnny still didn't listen. He thought he knew better and continued playing with his toy car. He didn't realize that his mom was trying to teach him something important.

As Johnny kept playing, his mom came into his room and gently took his toy car away. Johnny was surprised and asked, "Mom, why did you take my toy car?"

His mom replied, "Johnny, I called you for dinner, but you didn't listen. It's important to obey your parents. In the Bible, in Colossians 3:20, it says, 'Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.'"
Johnny felt sad because he loved his toy car, but he also loved his mom. He realized that he had made a mistake by not listening and obeying her. He hugged his mom and said, "I'm sorry, Mom. I will listen to you from now on."

His mom smiled and gave him back his toy car. From that day forward, Johnny always listened to his mom. He knew that obeying his parents was not only important, but it also made them happy.

Johnny learned that even though he loved his toy car, obeying his parents was more important. He understood that they knew what was best for him and that by obeying them, he was pleasing God too.

And so, Johnny happily went to the dinner table with his mom, leaving his toy car behind for a little while. He knew that he could always go back to playing later, but right now, it was time to obey his parents and enjoy a delicious meal together.
